Paweł, główny bohater filmu wraca po trzydziestu latach do wydarzeń z dzieciństwa, kiedy był pod wielkim wpływem kolegi Dawida Weisera, mającego nadnaturalne zdolności. Nie potrafi zapomnieć ani zrozumieć wypadków, których był świadkiem jako dziecko, więc przeprowadza na własną rękę śledztwo. Jednak nie znajduje jednoznacznej i oczywistej odpowiedzi. Próba dotarcia do prawdy, powoli staje się obsesją bohatera.

Weiser is a mystery film based on a novel. Pawel Heller (Marek Kondrat) is a man haunted by his past. With twenty-two years passing since the death or disappearance of his childhood friend Dawid Weiser, he becomes driven to find out what happened to him once and for all. The story goes back and forth between the present time (1999) and the past (1967) to slowly reveal what occurred. Pawel isn't sure himself what took place and tries to piece things together the details by finding others that were with him then. Ever so slowly do we learn about the group of friends and what they were up to. As the movie begins with an explosion in a tunnel, we fear the worse may have happened to Dawid, but as his body was never found we are left wondering. The children are interrogated by their schoolteachers, but as they made a vow to Weiser to not reveal anything, they don't squeal quickly. It is also interesting to see how the characters in the present acted like in the past, giving us a chance to get to know them on more than one level. The story has a great deal of suspense as we slowly learn about the characters and find out more about the mysterious Weiser. The suspense is on the level of a thriller because of the stupid stunts these kids performed and the general creepy feeling the movie takes on at times. Although the story builds a lot of suspense on a fairly simple plot, the ending leaves a lot to be desired. I do not think the ending will satisfy a lot of viewers and some may even feel the ending is annoying. There is a line in the movie that goes something like "Weiser is a name that you won't forget." I have to agree, there is something about this story that is unforgettable.
