A Nobel Prize winner for Literature, Henryk Sienkiewicz enjoyed tremendous popularity during the decades World War II. Mieczyslaw Giergielewicz received his Ph. D. at the University of Warsaw. He has published eleven books and over one hundred essays, sketches, and articles.
